Avogadro Colloquia, established by Società Chimica Italiana in 2011, represent a discussion forum on challenging and urgent themes related to chemical sciences, environment, and societal needs. 

The 5^th edition, jointly organized by Società Chimica Italiana and Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche e Tecnologie dei Materiali, will be devoted to the major role played by hydrogen in bringing about a successful transition to a low-carbon and sustainable society, and will consist of four thematic sessions:

• Green hydrogen production and utilization
• Hydrogen storage and transportation
• Chemicals from hydrogen
• Decarbonization and hydrogen policies

Avogadro Colloquia engages invited distinguished national and international speakers who provide the latest knowledge on the conference topic with the aim to stimulate public debate and advancements in scientific research.

Avogadro Colloquia is part of the events which will take place for the celebration of CNR 100^th anniversary.
